Vesuvian man, Vesuvian Man Where For Art Thou, Vesuvian Man?

Excerpt from the early Rome years:

So after gaining a portion of old town to have as our own. Letting our tradesman ghouls and vampires rebuild the city day and night, we, my friends and I continued on an even farther goal. The culmination of research into the histories and treatises of the vampire race. Copying texts, translating, obtaining at any cost, collecting, and  listening.  I am still searching for the Brujah elder or news of his whereabouts.  Rome is a city of decadence. We want for nothing but information and finishing our buildings covering many city blocks with catacombs beneath. Ghoul scribes. I am so tired from keeping ghouls and the blood they require but they serve their use and in the end the work would never be completed if left up to me.
It seems a world away.
That boy who was scared to be drafted into the legion. Who went on to become a general, and somehow end up here..a vampire with that Rome a distant memory. Having been 'alive' now for over 4 lifetimes the sense of time has stretched and it feels more important to enjoy the day or concentrate on a plan of action. It is easy to fall into a deep reverie at nearly any time with thoughts and memories flooding back across time, snatching you out of this one, but I have now learned to sharpen my time sense to make others fall into a deep reverie of memories now as well, a useful trick.

I grow weary of staying in one place for to long.
