Awake inside a coffin. Push open the lid to find my sire, affectionately known as Trench coat man standing over me. Still covered in blood from just before dawn, I follow him and the criminal(AJ) and his sire out into another room to find three more vampires and their sires.
"This is a social experiment."

Firstly, revised beats out Monte Cook's version hands down. It has all of the flavor and none of the ... well you know.

Scene Opens:

Crime scene investigator, Tom Slavrisky arrives on scene at a suspected suicide. A man has thrown himself from the second story plate glass windows in the Apple store on Michigan Ave in Chicago. His body is covered with a sheet and broken glass litters this portion of the blocked off street. Meanwhile, a slight man watches from across two lanes of traffic on the far side of the street. Tom begins his ritual of photos and evidence marking. Noting impact marks and a oddity two different types of glass. Snapping pictures he moves across the scene to the body. A trenchcoated man identifys himself as Internal Security asks about the scene and wants to see the victim. Lifting the sheet, Tom notes that this man could not have broken through this nearly one inch thick glass with just his head. The Internal Affairs man says, " I have seen all I need to have a good night" and leaves. Tom begins scanning for additional items that may be on the street. Takes pictures at 180 degrees, but notices nothing unusual. Moving back to the victim, he notices puncture marks on the neck and takes a swab and sample of the lacerations, also he notes a distinct lack of blood. Ok, this is not a suicide its a homicide! he thinks to himself.
He moves inside, moving past witnesses being interviewed by police, upstairs, no extra 'glass' missing anywhere. The large plate glass window turns up nothing of interest, or blacklight, no signs of a stuggle. Mystery. A security guard comes up to him and tells him that he was told to show him the security footage. Following the man behind the store into the back rooms, they come to the bank of monitors. Another man is currently looping two men in a struggle with one man holding the second by the arm as the plunge through the window. Cutting to the street level camera the man who had a hold of the second man lands on his feet after going headfirst through the glass dragging the second man, who lands on his face on the street. The assailant then moves across the street and stands there watching the scene. Tom makes a call and orders back up forensics to pick up all the glass from the street, and goes back outside to pick up glass. Noticing that the man isn't across the street anymore, he checks his camera and sure enough he was there when he did his first sweep. He crosses the street to check the spot and finds blood and footprints, they lead off to a alley and a dead homeless man then back down the street to a Old Navy then away to a suit store, using his black light, Tom calls for backup and enters the store. Following the blood trail to a suit rack, then to the mens bathroom, he finds the tracks enter but have yet to leave. Making one more call for backup, he draws his gun and opens the door. He sees the man that went through the window changing clothes and has just slicked his hair back as bits of glass fall out.
"FREEZE!" Tom yells and points his gun, "Turn around, on your knees and hands on your head."
"You don't want to do that" says the half bloody man, who then doubles over in pain as red eyes come up to glare and Tom as you would a steak when famished, but quickly they receed.
"I said on the ground hands on your head!" Tom yells again.
The man lunges with catlike speed but misses and runs into the wall, Tom quick draws his handcuffs and attaches one to the mans wrist. Then the man rips them out of his hand and lunges again, but misses and slips to the floor. Tom drops a knee into the back but slides to a straddle and attaches the other handcuff.
Just then voices from behind.
"See I told you that my guy could beat your guy" the Internal Affairs man says.
A beautiful woman says, "Its not over yet."
"True."
The man leans in and Tom is powerless to move as he bites his neck.
Blackness...
Stars. Hints of daybreak. Something like hunger but more painful. Restrained. Hands and feet. Roof. Suspect beside him, rips the restraints off and lunges a man restrained by each of their feet. Tom watches and is strangely attracted and hungry.
Rip! Dives at the man near his feet and ensanguinates him.
Dawn. Primal fear takes a hold. Door open to blackness. Running. Stairs down, down, down, down, at the bottom another door open they run in and find the woman and the Internal Affairs man.
"I was begining to get worried." hes says plainly. "Your in there", as sunlight rays enter the room, he shuts to door and gestures to another door, while the two walk to the other door.
In the other room are two cheap coffins. Even though Tom is screaming in his head, a primalness takes him and he seeks darkness and sleep...

Ah, Citizens,

Last night was a glorious excursion for our determined Troubleshooters. Mr. Bubbles. Lots of explosions, death by Mandatory Bonus Duty Determination Tests, and general carnage.
