Just Can't Loose That Falling Feeling

Journal excerpt from Marcus Bellecus
Returning to sleep with the Setites, we were awakened by the sounds of fighting in our sleeping chamber. Rising and slaughtering Germanics, we made our way, fighting every step of the way, back to the field of battle all the while looking for Oddessar, the werewolf, as his army sacked and destroy Rome. Fighting a swath outside the walls we find all the werewolves not even fighting and just watching from the hills outside the city.  I realized at this time that saving Rome was already lost  and made ready to parley with Oddessar. The wolven delegation escorted us to the 'new king of  Rome' where I told him he had won the day and that Rome was his. Suprised, he granted us free roam in his lands. We departed for the steps  of Vesuvius to excavate the Minotaurs treasure. In six months we had recovered the treasure, and amassed a sizeable force or ghouls and tradesman. We returned to Rome to compile research on vampire lore, specifically Iyles, the Brujah antediluvian and his current whereabouts. Oddessar is very happy to use our tradesmen to rebuild Rome and gives us a portion of the old city as our own. Years pass in research, a delegation of ghoul historians and researchers travel to Carthage to obtain any information on vampires.

O Rome, Where Art Thou?

Journal excerpt from Marcus Bellecus
I remember going to sleep, waking up and not being able to open my coffin, the distant rumblings of the earth were grinding and breaking the great mountain of Vesuvius at we were sleeping at its slopes.
What happens next is fog. Willing sleep...dreams...memories...floating...listening...marking the passage of time silently in repose.

Then the fresh taste of blood, filling my essence, willing me to move once more.. unknown smells assault the nose. Those gathered around me are my companions and a group of other 'nobles' in strange attire, their accents unfamililar.
"Greetings Elders", they say, "we have brought you back to help us."
How fairs glorious Rome I ask, and they explain the last 300 years of slow decay and the Germanic tribes lead by Oddessar (sp) are at the doorstep of Rome ready for a final assault.
They explain that this German leader is indeed a werewolf that leads a large tribe of the moon. They want us to save Rome. I will do all that I can to save that which gave me a home when I had none, even if my true lord has died and rotted in his grave. Still feeling emaciated I retire tot he library with a page boy scribe and another for a meal and there I learn quite a bit about these werewolves.
Dipping some weapons in silver and looting a few churches to find a 5 foot silver cross suitable for beating wolves about the head and body with the power of this new religion and the tenants, of Set which destroy to remake.
We set out for the front lines and make our intentions known to challenge Oddessar, they reply that he will not but they send out 20 of their battle hardened who die and flee in a matter of seconds. The chorus of howls is indeed loud.

Marcus Bellecus

Note from personal journal
69A.D. My part in this last year of the events of my life seems like memory to me now. Simply, being in the right place at the right time to be conscripted into Servius Sulpicius Galba's Army to win back Tarraconesis then returning to Rome upon Nero's suicide to claim himself Caesar, while making his loyal army Roman citizens. A short seven months later he was dead and I found myself neatly out of work. Only to receive a invitation to enjoy a show at the still unfinished Coliseum, again only to find that I wasn't to enjoy from the stands. Entering the ring, I bested a large tiger and was sent on my way.
The next months are somewhat difficult to put into words. Suffice to say that I am now more than man. The society I have entered is one of both, history and power. They call themselves vampires and the clan is called Brujha.
Sent to the island of Minos to 'handle' a territory dispute we found and killed cow men on the north of the island, then found a very large 'leader' minotaur who challenged my Egyptian friend to a duel with freedom or 500 years of servitude. Agreeing the battle was close but in the end 500 years of servitude became guard my treasure, move it here to my estate in Pompeii. Which became...buried in ash for 300 years.
So now its 473...so hungry...
